PDF Form Filler-No more printing App Reviews

Simple and useful!

Very nice app, simple and useful! It saves me a lot of time for filling those pre-formatted pdf forms.

its simple but time consuming

It is simple, but thats about it. Changing the spacing of characters to match a form takes forever (no shortcut key available). To make a new font setting a default is not possible - the next text box reverts to the original. The length of text boxes need to be adjusted manually, otherwise not all the text is shown. You will have to bring time with you to work around the shortcomings of this app.

Funktioniert nicht mit Yosemite

Wo bleibt das Update? - Seit 2013 wurde nichts mehr an dem Programm verbssert. Won’t work with Yosemite - Where ist the update for Yosemite? - Since 2013 no new Version!

Cant actually fill out a PDF FORM

This application is great if you want to dump a check mark or some random text, but it does not allow you to fill out actual PDF forms like a passport application, etc. and use the native fields built into those. If you are looking for something to do this, stay away.

Overlays forms on PDFs

The application overlays forms on a basic PDF (as others have mentioned, not a PDF Form) and allows you to fill in data. How I use it: Time and attendance is still done on paper where I work. I scanned the forms and and used this tool to create the form fields I need to fill out weekly. Simple but effective. (I now submit my time and attendance via email never printing it, also excellent)

Wheres the undo button and eraser

Am able to apply anotations OK, but Im not that precise that I get it right every time. Having an undo button seems like a fairly obvious feature to have, but it is missing. As is an eraser tool.

does nothing

Bought App. It does nothing! No manual; no help from support page (just other unanswered questions).

Not reliable

All I needed was a simple form filler, not too expensive, because I dont need it often. Unfortunately, it is unreliable at best. You can usually fill out some components, but others wont work. And it seems like once saved, no more changes can be made, at least for the check boxes. Quite annoying.

Keeps Its Promise

Just downloaded this app to fill out a PDF form and was very pleased. This app does exactly what it says it will do. Not super-fancy, but doesnt need to be, and I appreciate the reasonable price. Made me willing to take a chance on an app with no reviews or ratings. I just needed to do a one-page PDF, so others might find it lacking if your needs are more sophisticated. Personally, I would have preferred the option to do a checkmark and not just an "X" to mark a box. But, thats a trivial complaint. All-in-all, Im a big fan of cheap apps that solve problems simply. This one fits the bill.

Works - Very Easy

Does what you want it to do -- fills out a form quickly. It would be nice to have some presets for things you need to fill out many times, such as a signature or date but thats a suggestion not a criticism.

Pretty Lame: The Typewriter of Word Processing.

Difficult to use. It has its own discrete non-adjustable "line spacings" where you can place your insertion point. This may or may not overlap well with the PDF form you are trying to fill out. Its always a little too high or a little too low - similar to using an old manual typewriter, if you remember what that was like. Why cant I adjust in pixel increments? This is the 21st century! It is difficult to align text lines with each other so that the initial characters in each row line up. There are no defaults, no reference indicators - you just have to eyeball it. Text could be pasted from other documents, but only text. I was unable to copy/paste my written signature from elsewhere. So, how does one "sign" a pdf document? Using the pencil tool. Try signing your name using the track pad on your laptop - this is really not satisfactory -- look at the signature "Phil" in the screenshot example. Thats really what you get. Why cant I paste images? Maybe there is another way to do this that I couldnt figure out right away -- the Marquis tool seemed to work … maybe there are some things I can drag from other documents … not sure. Does anyone else have a solution on how to include a "written" signature on an pdf form using this app? You actually can use check marks instead of "Xs" It is under the Special Characters menu. Another reviewer was looking for this. To use it, it seemed that I had to have first opened a PDF using some other program, like Preview, say. Only then could I start the app, and then I had to re-open the target pdf again from FormFiller -- not intuitive, at all. Many of the menu items are not active. Undo Typing and ReDo, for example, are not available. Expected editing functions just are not here. It works more like a typewriter than a word processor. The palette tools, fonts, etc. are minimal - not many options. The Help Menu is a cruel joke. It seems to be lifted completely from some other program, like a Mac OS perhaps. I could not find a single entry that was related to the program to which it is actually attached. Apple SHOULD BE AWARE OF THIS - at the very least it is plagiarism. It is useless as a Help menu for FormFiller. It worked; I got my form filled out, but I want my money back. Really I do. How does one do that in a App Store? Are not programs here vetted by Apple. I do not see how this made it though. Yes, it functions, but it should have failed the review process just for being lame.

the app

The name "PDF Form Filler" is totally misleading. It does not work with PDF forms at all. It gets nothing to do with filling a form. Wasted money.

App wont open

Well I just Downloaded your App, and its on my Desktop, but when I click on it , it doesnt open ????? got and suggestions Thanks Michael

works great

I dont know why people hate this app! It is a gread deal at 99 cents. It easily fills text into a pdf file. What more do you need?

Doesnt work

I know its only .99, but dont spend your time or $$. It doesnt work at all and there is no support, way to complain or get your $$ back.

Really?

Cannot undo or delete mistakes. Thats a huge problem. I totall regret wasting money on this junk

Great App for the Money

This app works exactly as advertised. My wife was completing an RFP and needed to fill in fields in a PDF. If this is the only time we use it, it was still a great return on investment. Easy to use. Highly recommended.

DO NOT BUY!! DOESN"T WORK AT ALL!!

I downloaded this app and it doesnt work whatsoever. At all. Pretty lame since I paid $5 and there is no support. Go ahead and purchase if you want to get ripped off!! I ignored the poor ratings, but still bought it... now I bet everyone else that recommended NOT to buy it is probably laughing at me now. LAME!!! Want my money back!

Do not waste your money

I am used to using an iPad, when I come across an app that offers to help, I buy it. This is one of those apps that you say, "I wish I wouldnt have wasted my money." It does not work and there are NO directions…if you google it, they tell you to stay away. Stay Away.

Dont Waste Your Money

I thought this app input fillable fields into PDFs when all it does it draw on top of them. This is a feature available on all Macs with Preview. Basic features like "Undo" do not work and there is no selection tool to select and then delete items input incorrectly. Basically this means that one mistake and youll have to start the entire process from the very beginning. Dont waste your money on this app, its just terrible.
